LifeLight Ministry

In 1998 LifeLight started as a free outdoor Christian music festival that many enjoyed and attended. This festival grew and branded itself as the largest free outdoor Christian music festival in the nation. Since then, ministry needs have changed and the desire to reach individuals in our community has grown.

LifeLight’s mission of taking the Church outside the walls has expanded to opening the LifeLight Youth Center in Pettigrew Heights area in downtown Sioux Falls. The grid of Pettigrew Heights spans from 9th street to 16th street, just west of Minnesota Ave. Their building falls perfectly in the middle at 13th and Duluth. The area of Pettigrew Heights is home to 3,000 teens with a community crime rate at 80% within Sioux Falls.

LifeLight desires to bring hope and healing to youth, specifically from Pettigrew Heights, by providing a safe, encouraging environment for young people. Their new building including space for staff offices, lounge area, concessions, games, meeting area, and a full concert/meeting hall on the lower level. This space can hold outreach concerts, bible studies, cafe gatherings, and prayer groups.

Kingdom Capital Fund is giving a $25,000 matching  donation towards the youth center in Pettigrew Heights. With the stipulation that each donation be made from a new donor, for a first time giving this year.

“With the City of Sioux Falls looking to rejuvenate this area of town, we believe this youth center can be at the center of changing culture in Pettigrew Heights.” LifeLight Team.
